THE SHORT PROGRAM
The COURT program welcomes 9 projects and offers participants three events: a 3-day collective workshop with an external consultant, a collective workshop between participants and an individual meeting with the consultants. In all, participants will produce 3 reports over a 4-month period. The program is open to short fiction, documentary, hybrid and animation films.
AGENDA
A consultant will take part in workshops and individual meetings.
THE WORKSHOPS
Some workshops will be built around specific areas of work, such as – the film’s political theme – or – character development-. As workshops are privileged moments for sharing experience and methodology, we ask external consultants to pass on their own tools to enrich the workshop “toolbox” and offer a diversity of approaches to best adapt to the plurality of participants’ proposals.a
Each workshop begins with a collective feedback session, where each project is discussed individually, allowing the author to listen attentively without interfering. The workshops use an inclusive methodology, with rules such as “+1” to avoid repetition, and dedicated roles as mediators and timekeepers to ensure compliance with guidelines and effective time management. The aim is to encourage constructive feedback and active listening, while preparing authors to rework their projects with fresh perspectives.
OPERATING
The short program is supported by Fondation Johnny Aubert-Tournier, Fondation Culturelle Suissimage and Fonds Culturel SSA. To this end, participants will be asked to pay a fee of 280 Swiss francs for the entire workshop (980 Swiss francs for production films).
The workshop will take place at Maisons Mainou – Fondation Johnny Aubert-Tournier in Vandoeuvre (Geneva).
PITCHING
At the end of the workshop, Swiss producers, broadcasters, selectors and support bodies will be invited to discover the projects at a pitching session. La Salle de Sport wants to be able to guarantee its participants that their projects will be read, listened to – and “expected”. This will enable them to devote themselves fully to writing their projects, with the assurance that they will be discovered with the utmost attention.
